Yes, because there have always been fluctuations in the earth’s rotation. 1.4 billion years ago, one day was about 18 hours. During the dinosaur era, it was 23 hours. So the length of the day is increasing.
But in our future? It depends. A 25 hour day is predicted for 200 million years from now!
