Fun hummingbird fact!
When female white-necked Jacobin hummingbirds have muted colors, they are often pecked at, chased, and sometimes even body slammed by male hummingbirds. However, some can transform their coloring to the bright white and blue of the males, and then can sip nectar from flowers in peace!
