Happy National Panda Day!
Even with protections, it's estimated there are less than 2,000 Giant Pandas in the wild.
Wild Giant Pandas are only found in China, within 2,400 square miles. There are about 150 that live in zoos and research centers throughout the world. They are good climbers, and can swim! They are extremely shy so little is known about their behavior in the wild.
