Some good news for Tigers!
In a 2010 meeting, thirteen “Tiger Range Countries” set a target of doubling the world's tiger population by 2022. Now, the country of Nepal announced they've actually tripled their tiger population!
Nepal now has 355 native tigers!
Nepal's Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation is working closely with their government to ensure that the country can sustain this tiger population growth, and develop continued plans and programs to promote tiger conservation not only in Nepal, but around the world.
